Our History & Our Family

Rich in Texas history, The Historic Hill House + Farm has been hosting guests and travelers for over 130 years. In early 2017, the Bradbury family acquired the property with the intent of using it as a retreat for its young, growing family. However, the vision grew into what our property is today, expanding into a high-end barn retreat and haven of hospitality.

Enjoy Our Unique and Memorable Buildings

Whether you’re traveling with family and friends or for a romantic escape, you can find the perfect suite for your stay. We offer seven unique properties with luxurious amenities, providing you and your guests with a relaxing and memorable experience. From a comfortable cottage, rustic lodge, and a cozy yurt, we can accommodate couples on their honeymoons, family reunions, wedding groups, and much more. Event + Dining Barn

Our gorgeous event barn was originally constructed in the 1840s and fully restored to serve as a stunning 7,500-square-foot event venue. It provides the perfect location for wedding celebrations and can comfortably hold up to 150 guests. With its 35-foot vaulted ceilings, hand-hewn bar areas, wood-burning fireplace, and breathtaking ballroom space, our event becomes the perfect antique backdrop for any special occasion.

1885 Main House

Built originally in 1885, the Main House features four B&B-style bedrooms offering deluxe bedding, a small sitting area, a fireplace, a 42″ flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, direct access to outdoor sitting areas, and farmhouse-style charm at every turn.

Pine Hill Lodge

Housed in a reclaimed wooden barn from the early 1900s, our newest addition to the property features three rustic and luxurious suites with a large common area and private dining space. We invite you to book an individual room or the entire building for a special group event. Rooms include the Hawthorne, Buffalo Clover, and Silver Wolf.

Pool Barn

Ideal for larger parties and families, our Pool Barn includes two large two-bedroom suites overlooking the outdoor pool with a spacious living area, a pull-out sleeper sofa, a fireplace, a refrigerator, and quick access to the pool barn lounge and game room.

Cottages

If you’re looking for more space to spread out, choose from four cottage suites offering either a king bed and pull out sofa bed or two queen size beds. Each suite has a kitchenette with a dining area, a fireplace, a 42″ flat-screen TV, and private porches with rocking chairs connected to each suite.

Bunkhouse

Located on the second floor of the new Bunkhouse, this suite is perfect for small groups and families of travelers. With space for up to six guests, you’ll find two custom-built reclaimed wood bunk beds, a queen-size bed, and an ensuite bathroom, including a combination bathtub and shower with luxurious bath products. Bunkhouse is located near the new Pine Hill Lodge.

Owner’s Cottage

Find your own secluded retreat in our new Owner’s Cottage. This one-bedroom cottage was built for the owner’s mother, featuring beautiful finishes, a separate living room with a pull-out sofa, a fireplace, a drop-leaf table for in-room dining, a small kitchenette, and a furnished bedroom with custom barn doors, a king bed, a small desk, and a 42” TV. The Owners Cottage is located near the new Pine Hill Lodge.

Luxury Yurt

For a unique guest experience, you can reserve a stay at our property’s own Luxury Yurt. This one bedroom building offers a true glamping experience.

Take a refreshing dip, swim a few laps, or wade your way into a relaxing afternoon at this large lagoon-style pool. It is perfect for kids and adults alike. It offers its own dock, a wood-burning fireplace, and plenty of picturesque space for a day of poolside lounging or soaking up the Texas sun.

The talented culinary team of The Historic Hill House + Farm pays homage to their southern roots by curating an elevated country cuisine experience in our antique 1840’s dining barn. Our carefully crafted menus change seasonally and showcase fresh ingredients and local produce. The Dining Barn features a full-service bar and inviting lounge, highlighting signature cocktails, seasonal beers and a well curated wine list and is adjacent to our Special Events Barn.
